How is an AI-moderated interview different from a survey?
A survey asks fixed questions to everyone. Recollective's AI moderator listens to each participant's responses and asks the next best follow-up question in the moment—the way a skilled human moderator would. For participants, it feels like a real conversation, not a form to complete. For researchers, it delivers the depth of 1:1 qual at the scale of quantitative.

Can we control what the AI moderator does?
Yes. You define a Conversation Objective that specifies the goal, tone and instructions the AI moderator follows. You can include steps, probes, moderation techniques and sample questions to shape the experience. The objective is visible to administrators only—participants never see it.

Can we test and preview the experience before going live?
Yes. Admins can preview the full Conversation Task, experience how the AI moderates and refine the objective iteratively before launching to participants. You only go live when you're confident in the setup.
